We all know what an impact the film industry has on the Oregon tourism community, whether that’s guests hiking the Pacific Crest Trail (thank you, “Wild”), enjoying the Goondocks (2025 is the 40th anniversary of the release of “The Goonies” and Astoria is celebrating June 5-8 -you know Krisi Reed will be there!), or visiting sites along one of our many film trails, but do you know how to support film?

Tim Williams, Executive Director of Oregon Film, will speak about what they do to promote Oregon, what makes Oregon attractive to film, how to engage with the different players in this space, and what special needs production crews may have.

About our speaker: Tim Williams has been the Executive Director of Oregon Film since 2014. Prior to that, Tim was both an executive and independent producer for more than 25 years..From 1998 to 2011 Williams was a partner, Co-President and Head of Production for GreeneStreet Films, a leading New York based independent film company. He later managed the company’s opening and running of their Los Angeles office. Tim started his career as a set production assistant and assistant director in New York on features, commercials and TV shows, and then worked for several years producing and directing new plays on the London Fringe in the UK.
