Baker County Tourism – Basecamp Baker, is the Destination Marketing Organization for Baker County. Baker County is located in Northeast Oregon at the intersection of three scenic byways providing visitors some of the most spectacular scenery in the Northwest. The County is rich with pioneer and American west history surrounding the Oregon trail and the 19th century Gold Rush era. itineraries that include jet boat tours through Hells Canyon, hiking through the Wallowa Mountains with pack llamas, horse back excursions, a ride on a historic steam train, panning for gold, and dinner with the pioneers overlooking the ruts of the Oregon Trail.
