Join us for our Fall Itinerary building session featuring guest speaker Kevin Murphy, owner of Open Roads Tour & Travel Solutions in Sacramento, CA. Connect with your fellow industry peers from around the state as we workshop through Oregon’s latest and greatest stops and experiences!

Kevin will share valuable insights he has gained in over 30 years in the travel and tourism industry – including what tour operators are looking for in itineraries, things we should consider as we build them, and what makes them stand out from others.

Kevin has worked for attractions, restaurants, and DMOs and has led teams in both the lodging and group travel industry. He is a speaker at industry gatherings and hosts seminars for industry associations on how to attract and work with tour operators. Kevin served four years as President of Travel Alliance Partners (TAP) and is a registered Certified Tour Professional (CTP) with the National Tour Association and a Certified Interpretive Guide (CIG) with the National Association for Interpretation.

Kevin spent 18 years with Sports Leisure Vacations in Sacramento before starting his own tour company, which focuses on custom receptive group tours in the Western United States and Canada. Open Roads has been a tour operator member of OTTA since it opened in 2018. The company is modeled on a philosophy of building mutually beneficial partnerships between operators, suppliers and DMOs, and creating “open roads” for travelers who seek education and stimulation through travel.
