Founded in 1892, the Portland Art Museum (PAM) is the oldest art museum in the Pacific Northwest and one of the largest in the United States. The permanent collection has more than 35,000 works of art and major traveling exhibitions. PAM, located in Portland?s Cultural District, also features a Center for Native American Art, a Center for Northwest Art, exhibitions of Asian Art, and an outdoor public sculpture garden. The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at the University of Oregon in Eugene welcomes visitors to a vibrant remodeled 1932 building.
